This Sunday, October 14, we will observe “Warm-Up Sunday” at Oak Grove. There are many people in our community who can’t afford adequate clothing to protect them from cold temperatures and inclement weather. You are invited to donate new or gently used warm clothing or blankets in good condition to help alleviate this need. The items of clothing can include coats, jackets, sweaters, gloves, caps, scarves, etc. These may be brought to the church on Sunday, October 14, and placed at the communion rail before the worship services. For those who can’t attend the services that day, a box is available in the Portico commons where these items can be left in advance. Let’s provide warmth and comfort to some of our homeless and impoverished neighbors this fall.
