Senior Adult Ongoing Activities

Lunch Bunch – First Tuesday of the month in the Fellowship Hall. These begin with lunch at 11:30am followed by a program. The programs address issues and interests of older adults or simply provide fun entertainment.

Lunch Bunch usually requires reservations by Noon on the Monday before the Lunch/Program but reservation requirements may vary depending on the program. Check the Church website or call the church office.

Join us for fellowship, meal and program.

Senior Trips – The Senior Council also plans several trips during the year that are in addition to the Lunch Bunch Programs. These will usually be in the Atlanta area and leave the church around 9:00 am and return in the early afternoon after having lunch at a local restaurant but some trips may involve overnight travel. Check the Church website or call the church office.

Blessing of a New Home – When someone finds it necessary to move to a new residence, let us know and we can “bless” this new home. Contact Mary Lou Gilbert (mlougilbert@comcast.net).

Homebound Ministry – Our homebound members receive cards throughout the year and a special gift of a Christmas poinsettia and an Easter lily. Call the church office.

Sunday Morning Transportation – Volunteers provide roundtrip transportation to our Sunday Morning Worship Service. For additional information contact Amy Morgan (amorgan@ogumc.org).

Celebration of Life & Longevity – Each year we recognize church members who are age 90 years of age and older. If you fit that age group, or know someone, please contact Mary Lou Gilbert (mlougilbert@comcast.net)
