Staff Profile

Joseph enjoys music, technology, photography/video, digital story telling, and learning. He is passionate about life, justice, and community–and coffee. He is an ordained deacon in the North Ga United Methodist Church and holds a Forestry Degree from Auburn University, as well as a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He has previously served in ministry with Emory Wesley Fellowship, the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry’s Collegiate Ministry division, and Glenn Memorial UMC. He grew up in Carrollton, GA and has lived in and around Decatur, GA for the past 12 years with his spouse, Frances, who is a social worker with Refugees.
