Kara is a Geriatric Care Manager, photography enthusiast, and lifelong United Methodist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Philosophy from LaGrange College and a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Aging from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kara has worked for 15 plus years as a geriatric social worker in a variety of settings including long-term care, adult day care, and dementia education. Kara lives in Decatur with Andrew, her husband of 15 years, son Malcolm (age 3), dog Murray, 11 chickens, and one very mischievous pygmy goat. To her surprise, she does not live on an actual farm. Her parents are David and Cindy Naglee, Oak Grove Members and her grandmother is Sylvia Purcell, Associate Oak Grove Member. Kara is excited to learn from the seniors at OGUMC and share in the ministries, prayer, love, and laughter of this new church family.
