In 2025 she retired from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after more than 29 years. Her most recent CDC position was Senior Advisor for Policy and Communications in a national center and division supporting health department infrastructure. She brings to Oak Grove a wealth of experience in communications, executive advising and support, policy, strategic planning, performance, and project management, risk and issues management, leadership, and technical assistance/education.
Georgia said “I prayed for 16 months for God to show me where he wanted me to serve after CDC, and he led me to Oak Grove. I am so excited to serve the church and community in this new role and looking forward to what we can do together!”
