Rev. Melissa Kime-Hall

Associate Pastor
Rev. Melissa Kime-Hall has served churches in the North Georgia Conference for ten years. Her pastoral ministry began at Midway UMC in Griffin, GA where she served for three years. From there, she served Mt. Zion – Ellenwood, Tillman Memorial UMC, First UMC of Smyrna, and Roswell UMC. Most recently, she has served as the Associate Pastor at Covington First UMC. She also works with the North Georgia Conference Fresh Expressions Team and is the Central South District Lead Cultivator. Melissa is a life-long Methodist having grown-up at Calhoun First UMC. Upon graduating from Calhoun HS, she continued her education at Reinhardt College and the University of Georgia. She graduated with a B.S.Ed. in English Education and a M.Ed. in Reading Education. She worked in education for 15 years before answering the call to full-time ministry. She attended Candler School of Theology at Emory and graduated with her MDiv in 2015. She was ordained as an elder in 2020. Melissa is married to the Rev. Thomas Hall who serves as the pastor of Crossroad UMC in Conyers, GA. They have been married for three years. They have three children, Knox (24) and Kat (19) Mobley, and Zach Hall (27). Zach and his wife, Linsey, are expecting their first child in April 2024. Outside of church, Melissa enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants, traveling, reading, and cheering on her favorite teams. She is an especially avid fan of UGA football and Atlanta Brave baseball. She also enjoys studying the less mentioned characters of the Bible and is especially fond of the daughters of Zelophehad (Numbers 27). Her favorite, more well known, story from the Bible is Elijah in the wilderness. She admires the strength of these people in adverse situations. Melissa also enjoys a good cup of coffee, meeting people, and exploring communities. For a fun story, ask her about her wedding day in 2020. It was everything that she and Thomas did not expect! Melissa is excited to serve at Oak Grove and looks forward to meeting the congregation in January!
