Dr. Beth) will take us on a journey through Spain via the Camino de Santiago from the comfort of our seats in the Fellowship Hall for our Lunch Bunch on Tuesday, April 9th, (the SECOND Tuesday of April) 2024. 11:30am-1pm. Lunch Bunch: Spring Outing to May Patterson Goodrum House

Registration is limited to 30 people.

We will take 2 buses from the church. If you would like to ride on one of the buses, please arrive at the church portico entrance no later than 8:30 am. We will depart at 8:45 am. If you plan to drive yourself or carpool, please arrive at the house no later than 9:15. The tour will begin promptly at 9:30. Further details regarding parking will be provided upon registration. We will enjoy lunch at OK Cafe after the tour. We will return to the church around 1:30 pm.

*The house is NOT wheelchair or walker accessible. The tour includes the upstairs of the house and there is no elevator. Please consider this as you register.

An Evening with Storyteller, Andy Offutt Irwin

We are excited to host acclaimed storyteller, Andy Offutt Irwin, Thursday, June 20th, for an evening of entertainment and fellowship. This event is sponsored by Senior Adult Ministries, but it is open to the entire community! A light dinner will be served at 5pm with program beginning at 5:30 in the Fellowship Hall. We will enjoy an hour of entertainment followed by Andy's storytelling workshop, "Pin the Tail on the Narrative." The program will end at 7:30. This is a family friendly event and nursery care will be available for children 3 years old and younger. Please register by noon on Monday, June 17. About Andy: "Andy Offutt Irwin has been Featured Teller at the National Storytelling Festival eleven times and is a perennial favorite at the International Storytelling Center's Teller-in-Residence series. "A storyteller, theatre director, singer-songwriter, and Shakespearean actor, Andy was Artist-in-Residence at Emory University's Oxford College from 1991 to 2007. He has performed at LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts in New York, The Library of Congress, Walt Disney World, and a whole mess of theatres, colleges, and festivals all over the United States."
